Application Instructions

• New Surfaces: Allow cement rendered surfaces to cure 4-6 weeks (poured concrete 6-8 weeks). Surfaces must be dry and free of all contaminants (dirt, grease, fungus). Rub down with a rubbing stone/brick. Apply prime coats by brush.
• Surface Defects: Fill any holes, cracks, or crevices with an appropriate masonry filler.
• Previously Painted: Remove all loose, flaking, or peeling paint. Sand to a featheredge. Rub down smooth glossy surfaces to ensure adhesion.
• Fungus/Algae Treatment: Clean infected areas with a solution of 1 litre household bleach, 1 tbsp detergent, and 3 litres of water. Leave for 1 hour, rinse thoroughly, and repeat if necessary.
• Efflorescence Treatment: Ensure the source of moisture is rectified. Remove loose efflorescence by dry brushing and light rubbing with a damp cloth. Repeat until it ceases. Apply one (1) coat Penta Latex Sealer. Lightly abrade hard efflorescence (lime-bloom).
• Aluminium: Clean and etch-prime with Penta Etch Primer before painting.
