Technical Details

This 1″ PVC 3-way union ball valve features a T-configuration for flow diversion and isolation in multiple piping paths. The true union design allows for easy removal and maintenance without cutting or disturbing the piping system. The valve operates with a quarter-turn mechanism, providing quick on/off control and flow direction changes.

The pressure rating decreases approximately 0.5% for each 1°F increase in temperature above 73°F. The union connections use EPDM O-rings to ensure leak-free service even with repeated assembly/disassembly. Not suitable for compressed air or gas applications.

Installation Notes

Apply PVC primer and cement to socket ends according to manufacturer’s instructions. Hand-tighten union nuts only – do not use pipe wrenches or over-tighten. Allow 24 hours curing time before pressure testing. Support valve properly to prevent stress on connections.
