Key Features
- Left and Right Pair: Both levers are included — a matched set ensures consistent lever feel, reach, and appearance on both sides of the handlebar
- Universal Flat Handlebar Fit: The clamp design is compatible with standard 22.2mm flat handlebars found on most mountain bikes, cruisers, and hybrid bicycles
- Barrel Cable Adjuster: The knurled barrel adjuster at the cable entry port allows cable tension to be increased incrementally as pads wear — without needing to readjust the cable anchor at the calliper
- Serrated Clamp Bolt: The serrated washer under the clamp bolt head grips the lever body and resists rotation under repeated braking force
- Ergonomic Lever Blade: The curved upward hook at the lever tip provides a natural finger rest position for comfortable braking and improved lever feel under load
- Alloy Construction: Lightweight alloy body and blade provide sufficient strength for reliable rim brake operation while keeping weight low
Application Instructions
- Slide the clamp section of each lever onto the handlebar from the grip end, or loosen and reposition if replacing existing levers
- Position each lever at a comfortable reach and angle on the handlebar — typically angled slightly downward in line with the rider’s forearm
- Thread the brake cable inner wire through the barrel adjuster and into the cable port, seating the barrel nipple in the socket
- Route the cable to the brake calliper and anchor at the correct tension — refer to the brake cable installation instructions
- Tighten the handlebar clamp bolt firmly — the serrated washer should grip the lever body to prevent rotation
- Check lever reach — the lever blade should be reachable with two fingers without straining
- Adjust cable tension using the barrel adjuster as needed — unscrew to increase tension, screw in to reduce
- Check both levers engage and release brakes cleanly before riding
- Recheck clamp bolt tightness after the first few rides as components settle
- Inspect lever pivot and clamp bolt periodically — retighten if any movement is detected
