Key Features
- Butyl Rubber Construction: Butyl rubber has lower gas permeability than natural rubber — tubes stay inflated longer between rides, providing more consistent tyre pressure and reducing the frequency of inflation top-ups
- 28 × 1½ Sizing: The 1½” (38mm) width is the standard size for city, commuter, roadster, and many road bicycles running 28-inch wheels — a narrower profile suited to urban and road surfaces
- Schrader Valve: The wider-diameter Schrader (A/V) valve is compatible with standard car pumps, petrol station air points, and most floor pumps without a Presta adaptor. Confirm your rim valve hole is drilled for Schrader (larger hole) before fitting
- e-Ready Certified: Kenda’s e-Ready marking indicates the tube meets quality and dimensional standards for use on standard and electric bicycles
- Kenda Brand: Kenda is a globally recognised tyre and tube manufacturer, supplying OEM and replacement products across the international bicycle market since 1962
Application Instructions
- Remove the wheel from the bicycle and deflate the tyre completely
- Use tyre levers to unseat one tyre bead from the rim
- Pull the valve through the rim valve hole and remove the old tube
- Inspect the inside of the tyre and the rim tape for the cause of the puncture — remove any sharp objects before fitting the new tube
- Partially inflate the new Kenda tube just enough to give it shape
- Insert the valve through the rim valve hole and tuck the tube evenly inside the tyre
- Re-seat the tyre bead onto the rim — work from the valve outward to both sides
- Inflate gradually and check the tyre is seated evenly on both sides before reaching full pressure
- Inflate to the recommended pressure marked on the tyre sidewall
- Refit the wheel to the bicycle and check brake alignment before riding
