Application Instructions

1. Identify the cable anchor point on the brake calliper, lever, or cable stop where the eye bolt is to be fitted
2. Thread the inner brake cable wire through the central bore of the eye bolt head
3. Position the eye bolt in the anchor slot or hole on the brake component
4. Thread the serrated flange nut onto the bolt shank from the underside of the anchor point
5. Pull the cable to the desired tension while holding the brake lever in the correct position
6. Tighten the flange nut with the appropriate spanner or Allen key — do not overtighten, which can kink or damage the cable
7. Check brake operation — the brake should engage firmly and release cleanly
8. Trim excess cable wire if required, leaving approximately 20–30mm beyond the anchor point
9. Apply a cable end cap to the trimmed wire end to prevent fraying
10. Re-check cable tension after the first few uses as new cables can stretch slightly
